Shooting a group is often one of the most difficult tasks for a portrait photoshoot. Someone will blink, someone else will yawn or look away leaving you with a very low yield of good frames to choose from. One solution is to shoot each person separately and comp them together later.
The brief for this part of the website photography was to portray the members of the brewing team in a manner that showed them as individuals and also echoed their cheeky and sometimes irreverent bios.
After photographing each person on white individual frames were chosen that worked within the group. Cut outs were then done and pasted onto the background. This approach was learned when, as MacNeill Photography, we had to photograph these Cala company directors who were never all available on the same occasion.
